Lamanai River Tour

From USD $185.00
  • Duration: 12 Hours (approx.)
  • Product code: LRT

Lamanai, a word meaning “submerged crocodile”, is one of the oldest Maya sites in Belize dating back to approximately 1500BC. In its glory, Lamanai flourished, even as cities to the south like Tikal and Caracol were waning, due to its prevalence as a trading post and its ideal river side location. Part of the appeal of the Lamanai adventure is the journey itself.

Your day begins with an 8:00 am complimentary pick up if your resort/hotel/guest house is within our pick up/drop off range (kindly let us know where you’re staying so that we can arrange this for you).

You will be arriving at our establishment for a short check-in process and breakfast (please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, so we may best assist in accommodating you).

You will then head on to the airport flight to Tower Hill, Orange Walk.

Once you arrive our guide will be waiting for you where you will board a van for an approximate 10-minute drive to the riverside where you will begin your river tour.

This river tour lasts for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your luck of wildlife appearances which will lead you to the Lamanai Tour Site.

You will first have lunch and then take a guided tour of an approximate 2 hours.

You will then head back to the airport where you will be boarding a 3:40 pm flight to arrive San Pedro by 4:30 pm where one of our staff members will be waiting for you to drop you off to your resort.
